The sunlite / white LiteDisc 22" Reflector from Photoflex is designed to be durable and dependable. The SunLite surface will bounce direct sunlight or harsh studio light onto your subject without the blinding effect of the highly reflective mylar surfaces. It is the perfect counterpart to the SoftGold surface, as the SunLite surface is suitable for direct sun, where the more reflective SoftGold surface is suitable for open shade. The SunLite surface uses a silver/gold cross hatch design for just the right amount of warmth in harsh lighting conditions.

The matte warm white surface on the opposite side, reflects direct sun where a less reflective surface is desired. It can be used in the studio to reflect soft light into the shadows.

It folds to almost 1/3 its open size for easy storage and transportability. It stays flat to ensure a smooth, even reflection. All-metallic foil surfaces are double-laminated for longevity and maximum reflection. The double-riveted frame lets the LiteDisc stand up to tough abuse while maintaining its shape and flexibility.

A: If you buy the right adapter yes. I use mine with a Bowens head and the adopter was easy to fit and works well.

A: The Photoflex Small Clip Collar with Knob for LiteDisc Holder has a maximum opening of 16.2mm. It would not be suitable with a 12.7mm (about 0.5 in) shaft.

A: The reflector is discontinued but the attachment on the strobe and the reflector is called the Bowens S-Mount. And many lights use that same connection. It is around 5.7 inches (144mm)

A: The Photogenic PL22RW 22 inch Classic White Finish Reflector Beauty Dish is specifically designed for use with all Photogenic Quick Change Series Light Units. It does not come with a Bowens Mount or adapter as it is specifically designed only for use with the Photogenic PL Quick Change Mount. No grid or diffuser is included; the unit has a built-in diffuser and a gel holder.

A: If it were shiny and smooth then the light it casts would be somewhat similar to that of a parabolic reflector such as the ones found in many flashlights or automobile headlights. As such, it would be much brighter in the center than around the edges. The textured surface reflects the light in many directions and thus provides for a more even beam.
