Inside each earpiece in the AONIC 5 are three high-definition balanced armature drivers—two dedicated woofers and a separate tweeter—to deliver enhanced highs and warm midrange with clean, natural low end. Refined over decades to Shure's exacting standards, these earphones deliver a nuanced cinematic sound.

With a choice of warm, bright, or balanced nozzles, you can tailor the frequency response to your liking. The balanced nozzle is neutral, while the bright nozzle adds 2.5 dB in the 1 to 8 kHz range, and the warm option reduces the 1 to 8 kHz range by 2.5 dB.

Enjoy the most immersive listening experience with a design that keeps earphones in and noise out during exercise or travel, blocking up to 37 dB of outside sound to eliminate distractions.

The optimized nozzle angle ensures long-wearing comfort and fit.

The detachable RMCE-UNI cable allows for direct connection to laptops, in-flight entertainment systems, and other mobile devices equipped with a 3.5mm jack. A secure over-the-ear design with wireform fit ensures that the earphones stay in place and cables remain out of the way. A switch on the cable allows control of both iOS and Android devices.

Use the separately available Secure Fit Wireless Adapter for a wireless Bluetooth connection, or connect to other MMCX cable accessories for further customization. Stay connected to any device, no matter where you are.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can these be used with other IEMs other than the Shure Brand?

A: You can use the Shure SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones Kit with RMCE-TW2 True Wireless Adapter (Clear) with any IEM body pack receiver via the 3.5mm cable. However, the TW2 Bluetooth adapters won't be compatible with the P3RA receiver as different wireless technologies are used.

Q: 2. The specs written for the blue, black and clear earbuds are all slightly different. But is there really any difference between them aside from the color?

A: No, the only difference between the blue, black and clear versions is the color. The black and clear are standard colors while the blue finish is a special edition. Specs are actually the same for all three.

Q: 3. I am having trouble decided between the Shure SE215 and SE315, is it worth the price jump?

A: Apologies in advance for this generic answer, not a model-specific one ...IEM audio quality vs. cost has sharply diminishing returns. Among well-made IEMs, your first $100 gives 80-95% of the available sound quality improvement. Your next $400 only dials in fussy bits. Granted, I love my Shure SE535s. But I've paid 15% of their cost for IEMs that sound 95% as good.Granted, individual tastes vary (e.g., bass fans vs. flat fans). But this diminishing returns rule is pretty universal. So, if you're fussy and well-funded, sure, go big. Otherwise, don't envy the next quality step up; it's almost always smaller than you think.

Q: 4. Are these safe and effective at war reenactments and motor races? I want to monitor audio but block out REALLY loud noises.

A: Yes, the Shure SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones (Clear) effectively act / operate the same as ear-plugs with external noise.

Q: 5. what is the size?

A: They are all one size - fairly large/long, but pliable. You can trim the tip to fit your ears as needed. I prefer the foam tips, however, I ordered these for my dad who has small ear canals and has a problem getting the foam to fit. He trimmed them down and uses them regularly as they are narrower than other tips.

Q: 6. Do the sleeves fit E2 earphones?

A: No, these sleeves will not fit E2 earphones.

Q: 7. Does the shure 215 operate using aIPad?

A: Yes will work with ipads keep in mind that is comes with a 3.5mm connection you will need an Apple 3.5mm female to c type or lighting adapter depending on which ipad you have. .Links of the adapters are below https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1280795-REG/apple_mmx62am_a_lightning_to_3_5mm_headphone.html?sts=pi&pim=Y https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1442282-REG/apple_mu7e2am_a_usb_c_to_3_5_mm.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 8. Would these earphones work well for location sound?

A: Yes, the Shure SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones work very well for all types of in-ear monitoring applications, including location sound.

Q: 9. can I use this to talk on the phone ?

A: You will either need to get the appropriate Shure RMCE cable (available with various connector options, or a Bluetooth version. Alternativly, Shure also makes this available packaged with the Bluetooth cable. Follow this link for the various cable options as well as the version that comes prepackaged with the Bluetooth cable. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?sts=ma&setNs=p_PRICE_2%7c0&Ns=p_PRICE_2%7c0&sortType=default&srtclk=sort&N=0&Ntt=shure%20rmce

Q: 10. Does this earphone have mic?

A: This version of SE215 does not have a mic on the cable. If you'd like to add a mic to these ear buds, you can purchase this replacement cable with mic as an addition, BH #SHRMCEUNI.

I'm giving these 5 stars since they are entry level products that operate significantly above entry level expectations. Most of my friends who are professional musicians at least have a set of these in their gig bags as back ups to their custom ears. If you don't have 1k to invest in a set of ears buy these until you can take the plunge into high end IEM's. You will always have them in your arsenal in case disaster strikes. These won't make you a better musician only practice does that!

These earphones are remarkable at this price point. They hold their own in comparison to my Sennheiser HD 600s,: crisp, clear mid range, tight bass. They do take a little fidgeting to get in place but once in place they are plenty comfortable. Excellent build quality.

I bought this product because I wanted good quality sound isolating ear buds for running. And, boy, do they deliver. Yes, it takes some time to get use to them and yes, they feel awkward sometimes. But don't let that deter you.

These price-friendly earphones sound incredible! The extended bass is just the right amount; it adds fullness to the many genres of music I’ve played thus far… They’re my go-to earphones for critical listening. I plan on collecting some of the special edition colors.

I'm very particular about how well my audio sounds. I have high end, over the ear headphones and love the sound....but, I needed a small set of in ear bud type for certain activities. I had heard many folks on audio review shows speak highly of this model....so I tried them and am very pleased with them. They do take a little work to get them in your ears properly, withnthe cable going over the top and down the backside.....good sound.

These are not the best sounding in ears, but they sound amazing for the money. I would say this is the best bang for your buck of any in ear i have heard.
