Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this carry a travel tripod?

A: Yes, depending on the size of the travel tripod, you can potentially fit it inside, or you can put it in the pocket on the side.

Q: 2. How water resistant is it?

A: The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 is constructed from a weather-resistant nylon, and features a waterproof bottom panel. If you want the entire bag to be waterproof, it is suggested to get a separate rain cover.

Q: 3. Can two sony alpha a7 with Tamron 150-600 and a Sony 24-70GMII attached as well as a Sony 14mm f1.8 in the 20L version?

A: Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (20L, Black) measures internally 21.65 x 11.22 x 6.3". I would recommend placing the camera and lenses on a table as they would be placed in the backpack and measuring length, width, and height to see if it would fit.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Sony a7iv with 70-200GM1 attached(hood reversed)? Width-wise (not vertically)?

A: Yes the Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (30L, Black) will hold a Sony a7iv with 70-200 G1 from the side pocket. The dividers are movable to make a bit more room if needed.

Q: 5. Would this fit the Nikon Z6ii with the z24-200mm lens attached and the z100-400 lens?

A: The Nikon Z6 II Mirrorless Camera with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR Lens attached will fit in the Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (20L, Black).

Q: 6. From the previous questions it will fit a 16" MPB, what about a 16" Asus Laptop?

A: The 16" Asus laptops have different sizes unfortunately. The laptop compartment of the Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (20L, Midnight) is 15"x10"x1". Please check the dimensions of your computer to see if it will fit.

Q: 7. I have an Alienware M15 that measures an irregular 14.2"x10.9"x0.8" (360.5x276x19.5mm), which is almost 2" deeper than a 16" MacBook or any other 15.4" laptop, so I am struggling to find a backpack wide enough to accommodate it. Will that fit inside the laptop sleeve of this bag?

A: We tested the Everyday Backpack v2 30L with our testing devices measuring 9-3/4" deep and found there was a little bit more room for something slightly larger, but we don't believe it will take your Alienware M15 at 10.9" deep.

Q: 8. Would the 30L fit under an airline seat? US flights. Or would the 20L be better for under the seat?

A: Unfortunately, it will depend a lot on the carrier and the specific plane model you are flying in, but based on normal specifications of airline seats (18 x 14 x 8 based on American and Southwest Airlines) this bag is too large for the under the seat area.

Q: 9. I have a 13 in M1 MBP, and have heard that the new M1 laptops have issues with turning on when in the laptop sleeve due to the magnets in the bag (used to keep the shoulder straps attached). Is this really an issue, or will the M1 MacBooks have no problem with the magnets in the back of the bag?

A: I have not personally heard of these issues, and we pack many with all shapes and sizes of bags. I would fully power off the machine before placing it into the bag however to reduce heat.

Q: 10. Can the 20L carry 3 prime lens, plus a R5 body with a zoom lens (100-500) attached), plus a tripod and random batteries, etc.? I am debating between 20L and 30L. I often carry all 4 lenses.

A: The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (20L, Black) is large enough for the Canon EOS R5 with the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens attached, along with three small prime lenses, a tripod and small accessories.

I got a replacement one of these, only because I had a different bag and I wanted a great sternum strap. I knew the peak design one was solid and I just added it to the non peak design bag. It works great

I was so bummed out when i had lost my sternum strap in a move out of my apartment. I reached out to customer service to see if they can replace the item or if they sell it and without hesitation Rachel sent me a replacement. Such a great experience with this brand and products. Customer service was excellent and was much appreciated.
