The SpiderPro Large Lens Pouch from Spider Camera Holster is made to hold a large lens with a hood such as a 70-200 f/2.8. It is made of durable Cordura and stretchy neoprene and has a water-resistant vertical zipper that runs down the middle of the pouch. The zipper expands the opening so you can use one hand when you need to swap out your lens. There is a tether that sticks onto your rear lens cap and hangs it from the pouch so you do not lose it. The top of the pouch can be covered with an elements cover, which can be folded back or detached when you do not need it.

The lens pouch hangs from your belt via a touch-fastener attachment. For quick access, it features two side grip handles for sliding it across your belt. The pouch folds flat for easy transport in a larger bag.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this bag hold the Canon 11-24 F/4 with its hood?

A: I use it for my canon 24-70 and my Rokinon 14mm with hoods and caps. The 11-24 is a much wider lens and would be a very tight fit in this pouch. I can even place my 70-200 2.8 in this pouch (no hood). But the 11-24 is still a 1/2" wider. My 14mm is much smaller than your 11-24; I would be nervous trying to make that big round expensive glass fit in this pouch. It will be secure once in, but pulling and pushing would take some work. Good Luck

Q: 2. Can i put it directly to camera..? No need a plate?

A: Yes, it can go straight on the camera without the plate.

Q: 3. Does this Pin fit the "SpiderLight" Holster? (Not to be confused with "SpiderPro" Holster.)

A: Yes both pins and holsters are interchangeable. I have both version the pins same size. Just the pin mounts are different.

Q: 4. Will this fit Sony 135 GM lens?

A: This would have a tight fit when using with the Sony FE 135mm GM lens.

Q: 5. can I use this pouch as a stand alone pouch, or do I need to have the belt to use it?..thanks..

A: It can be used as a stand alone pouch.

Q: 6. I noticed the pin that come with Spider Pro Plate has a flat top. What is the advantage of that as opposed to this one?

A: Both pins will operate identically in the holster. The difference to you depends on the tools you have with you in the field to maintain your kit. The pin style with the single drilling can be tightened or loosened with an awl, small screwdriver, or similar bit you might have on your multi-tool. The pin with flats requires an open-end wrench, either adjustable or the correct fixed size. A suggested practice is to go through your complete kit to ensure that you have all of the tools needed to adjust or fix every threaded part of your rail, tripod, light bracket, or anything else you use. I have one of these pins mounted to a video frame on my Sony A6000. One day during a shoot, it actually did work all the way loose while hanging from the holster. The lanyard around my neck prevented the camera from falling to the sidewalk.

Q: 7. How deep is the case? I have a Tamron 150-600 that is just over 12 inches long and need a case for it. If this won't fit, do you have a suggestion?

A: The Spider Camera Holster Spider Pro Large Lens Pouch is ideal for lenses smaller than the Tamron 150-600, such as a 70-200mm f/2.8. For the Tamron 150-600mm, the Lowepro Lens Case 13 x 32cm will be an optimal lens case: http://bhpho.to/1kLzgv1

Q: 8. Will this fit the Canon 50 1.2?

A: Hi Jodi, Thank you - our Medium Lens Pouch should handle this 50mm just fine!Best,S

Q: 9. Will this pouch fit nikon 14-24?

A: Medium Pouch also works with the Nikon 24-120 but I use the large pouch for my Nikon 14 - 24 because the medium pouch is a really SNUG fit.

Q: 10. Does the (70-200 2.8 is II) TRIPOD RING need to be removed to fit into this case?

A: Hi there Ronicka!.. The SpiderPro large lens pouch was designed to solve the issue of inverting the lens shade - it is designed then to accommodate the lens WITH the lens shade on. In this setup, the lens collar will situate right above the rim of the pouch - not inside the pouch. The end of the lens will show above the rim, making pulling the lens out easier, but the lens is very secure and will not come out unless you open the zipper. Only If you choose to NOT use the lens shade, then you will have to remove the collar.Let me know if this helps in answering your question,If not, please contact us directly for video/imagesBest, S

Love this pouch. I have been using it for my one liter water bottle so far. I have no doubt that it would work with my 70-200mm canon lens.
It is extremely well made with a very practical design.

I bought the SpiderPro Holster with the belt and ordered a spare SpiderPro Pin just in case. From the looks of things I probably will not need it.

I have been using the spider holster for 6 years now and it has saved my back. I recently added the medium lens pouch to my belt in addition to the large lens I had. Love this whole line and couldn't work without it.

Used to carry 70-200 lens. Easy to get on belt eliminates the need to carry large bag. Well made.

The 70-200mm pouch is a wonderful addition to my Spider Holster. The material is great and I love the velcro attachment for the lens cap. No more losing my lens caps. Ha!
I will get the 24-70mm pouch as well. I'm very happy and would recommend it to anyone who's on the fence in getting one.

I use this pouch with my SpiderPro system to carry my Sigma 70-200mm when I go out. It seems to help balance out the weight of my Nikon D810 on my right hip. Easy to get the lens in and out of the pouch! Excellent system for the studio or outdoors!

I have a Sony 28-135 lens. This lens is mainly used for video but I love using it for photographs. It's a large wide lens even before you account for its attached tripod collar. For me this pouch, having the zipper front opening is exactly what I needed. It allows me to put the pouch on my belt and with the zipper unzipped I can slip the lens into the pouch while the base of the tripod collar remains on the outside of the pouch. This setup makes it easy for me to reach down and easily retrieve my lens by grabbing the exposed tripod collar. When I travel, I remove the tripod collar so I can fully close the pouch.

I love this lens pouch! The best part about it is the tether for the lens cap so you don't misplace it. Great idea :)
