A: It works fine with the iPhone 6s. I have tested it with the Rode VideoMic Pro and with a Sennheiser EW 112-p G3 wireless, using the Rode Record app and Hindenburg Pro and I've had no issues.

A: This adapter is to allow a mic with a 3.5mm TRS end to go into a smartphone. The Rode SC3, is the opposite, so it would take a TRRS mic, such as the Rode SmartLav+, and allow you to connect it to a camera or audio recorder, with a TRS 3.5mm mic input.
