Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what kind of speakers to use with these?

A: This amplifier is designed for commercial installation systems that offer 70 or 100 volt taps.

Q: 2. Why is this Marantz amplifier so expensive and it does not even have decent 4ohm performance. A lot of metal though.

A: This amplifier is not a stock item, and it is currently selling for list price. It's not for everybody.

Q: 3. What is the input Amperage for these?

A: thank you for your question. This adapter runs 100 VAC to 240 VAC with an output voltage of 24V and current of 250MA

Q: 4. Hi, Does the amp include the power supply?

A: The Atlas Sound Time Saving Devices TSD-PA252G does not ship with power supply. It must be purchased separately.

Q: 5. if this doesn't take batteries how does it supply power? Do you need to charge it?

A: The ART Phantom I single-channel phantom power supply requires an AC adapter for use. The adapter is included in the packaging contents.

Q: 6. Does this add hiss or ground-loop hum to the signal or is it clean?

A: I installed the Art phantom power supply in our pulpit microphone circuit when the phantom power supply portion of our sanctuary mixer board would intermittently fail. I have not noticed any unusual hiss or hum from the sanctuary speakers or our Youtube live stream recording. I cannot say how it would do for critical recording. The ART power supply does have internal isolation capacitors and a small external AC power supply (wall wart) which will provide a little more isolation from ground loops.

Q: 7. Could I use this between a phantom power boom mic and wireless transmitter? Trying to make a wireless boom.

A: Yes, you can use the M48 to supply phantom power for the mic and then send the output to your wireless transmitter. As another option, you may want to consider using a plug-on wireless transmitter that will connect directly to the mic's XLR output and will supply 48V phantom power to the mic. Not all plug-on transmitters have the ability to supply phantom power so check details to make sure the transmitter you select does provide that feature. There are many manufacturers that offer this type of transmitter and you may be able to purchase one that is compatible for use with your existing system or you may want a separate system for a plug-on transmitter. Please contact us directly by phone or through live chat if you would like further assistance.

Q: 8. Does this come with the belt clip as well?

A: It does, they are awesome !

Q: 9. Can I output to RCA with an adapter with no issues?

A: No you can not use RCAs with phantom power. RCA cables are not balanced.

Q: 10. I am trying to connect my Shure Microflex MX412 to my Canon Vixia HF100. I know that I'll need an XLR to mini cable to finish the connection. Will this get me part way, meaning, if I hook my mic to this will this give me enough phantom power to work?

A: This will provide phantom power to xlr mics that require it. Always have a spare battery.

I use the Rolls PB23 to provide phantom power for instrument clip-on microphones that plug into an instrument amp without phantom power built in. The PB23 is tiny and inconspicuous, well built, and very clean sounding. I recommend it on my website for customers who need phantom power for their microphones. -- Bruce Bartlett, ...........

I am using them with Behringer B5s in a location where existing long cable runs pick up lots of radio. Using these and with XLR to TA4f converters with wireless transmitters eliminates the problem and gets me pristine sound! In testing I also tried them with Crown PCC-160s and did get some hum, but not with the B5s...which is what I needed...so I did not investigate further.
