Designed for close-up work like inspecting small areas or reading without hurting your eyes due to too much light, the Coast G20 Inspection Beam LED Penlight produces a smooth beam with consistent brightness from one edge to the other without a hotspot. This low-power illumination tool has a single output, runs on a two included AAA batteries, and is operated with a simple on/off push button located on the tailcap. Its black anodized aluminum body is durable while also being lightweight and water resistant to an IPX4-rating to hold up to use in rainy weather. For convenient carry the G20 has a removable pocket clip. Easy to carry and even easier to use, the light weighs less than 2.4 ounces and is just 5.7" long to comfortably fit in almost any pocket.

I actually bought this in a big box store and it died on me. I reached out to Coast and warrantied it out. Will see how long the new one lasts. While waiting for the warranty replacement, I did order another one to have as a backup...or this is the backup...whatever. I suppose that tells you that I like the light since i bought another. The light is great I use it as an inspection light. The circle that the light throws is nice and crisp and I can actually use it as a pointer for others if I hold it close enough to the weld to point to an area. If I had to pick one thing that i didn't totally like, the button is wobbly. If you put a finger on it is moves back and forth and if you don't have it perfectly centered, it is more difficult to push. One other improvement that could be made is an anti roll bezel. While the clip keeps it from moving too much, I have had it roll off my work because I set it too close to the edge to leave room for the clip to catch when it rolled. Attached a couple pictures (at my desk) showing the light in different sizes depending on how close you are to the object and a photo of the light itself. 5

I've had my light for a few years now and I love it. I mostly use it several times a night when I have to get up. There are many comments that it's not bright enough but that's ridiculous. It's so bright that I cup my hand around it so not to disturb my wife. It produces much more light needed for mechanical inspection but not too much. It's called an "INSPECTION" light, if you want more than this great flashlight then buy a bigger light. Because I'm so impressed with this light and the affordability I'm looking at getting a few more different models for different purposes. 5
