Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this switch (US-24) have DHCP snooping? Also, does it have a built-in DHCP server?

A: To configure any DHCP settings on the Ubiquiti Networks US-24 24-Port UniFi Managed Gigabit Switch with SFP, you are going to want to use the Unifi Controller software.

Q: 2. Is the cloud or hardware controller a must? Or it can be configured via web Ui and/or app?

A: The TP-Link Jetstream TL-SG2210MP 10-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Managed Switch with SFP BH #TPTLSG2, can be configured through a hardware controller or through the Omada App.

Q: 3. Does it work with OC200 Omada controller?

A: The TP-Link TL-SG2008P JetStream 8-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Switch (BH #TPTLSG2008P) will work with the OC200 Omada controller.

Q: 4. What is the hardware version? v1 or v1.60?

A: Unfortunately, we are unable to check the serial, batch, firmware or OS version of the TP-Link TL-SX3008F JetStream 8-Port SFP+ 10GE Managed Switch BH #TPTLSX3008F.

Q: 5. Does setting up LAG reduce throughput? Some of the other SFP+ switches in this category use software and CPU to bond the ports.

A: LAG, including static link aggregation and LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol), is a technology that can aggregate multiple physical ports into a logical interface, increasing link bandwidth and providing backup ports to enhance connection reliability. So, the LAG will not reduce the TP-Link TL-SX3016F JetStream 16-Port SFP+ 10GE Managed Switch's through put. As for the ports, if you need to configure the advanced features such as LAG and VLAN, this switch has a web interface (standalone mode) to log in. And you can also download TP-Link's Omada Software Controller to manage the switch.

Q: 6. is this product the V2.6? or V2?

A: There is no hardware difference between the V2.6 and V2.0, it refers only to the production location of the switch. We do not have this information for this TP-Link TL-SG3210XHP-M2, but it makes no difference in terms of the switch itself.

Q: 7. Is this a POE unifi switch

A: No this is not a POE Switch.

Q: 8. Does this switch have 16 PoE ports? Does this also have Layer 2 and 3 support?

A: Per the product specs: - Layer 2 and Layer 3 Features - No PoE ports Please look at Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Pro PoE 24-Port Gigabit Managed PoE Network Switch with SFP+(BH #UBUSWP24POE).

Q: 9. Hello I am looking for Bandwidth Control, Cable Diagnostics and Reporting Features. I assume these are available via the UniFi Controller Software or not?

A: My nephew installed this for our church hes the IT guy. What I wanted to accomplish was to separate the bandwidth I needed for uploading our services from the Wi Fi used by guests. We were able to designate how much each was able to use

Q: 10. Does this switch have 16 PoE ports? Does it also support Layer 2 and 3?

A: This switch has no POE support.

Good switch. Easy to set up, and add to the Omada platform. I like the fact that it consumes 40 watts instead of 250 watts that my Cisco 4948 used. If you compare these switches to Cisco, you will be disappointed, but keeping an open mind that it is a different product platform and for a home lab or small business, these are good switches.
