The 52mm ND Lens Filter Plus+ from Urth provides a fixed 2 f-stop light reduction for better control with long exposure and depth of field techniques in low light. With less light entering your camera, you can also use wider apertures in low light for a beautiful shallow depth of field effect without overexposing images. Cinematographers can use the ND Filter Plus+ to create more cinematic effects in low light without losing quality or overexposing the shot. The Plus+ filter features 20-layers of nano-coating, which provides easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil, and scratches. These layers also provide a higher maximum light transmission and a more consistent transmission curve for truer light reduction.

Q: 1. Do you have a lens cap that works with the NISI lens hood and Circular polarizing filter 112 mm on the Nikon 14-24mm Z mount lens?

A: The hood will not fit while using the polarizing filter. And the only cap is the one the lens came with.

A: The NiSi ND8 112mm NC Neutral Density Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens (3-Stop) will thread onto the H&Y Filters Evo-Series 82-112mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring without any problems!

Q: 4. I own a Nikon D5500, which I understand does not have an optical low-pass filter. The product description for this filter indicates the camera requires a "conversion" to eliminate the low-pass filter. My question: will this filter work as intended without the "conversion" for the D5500? Thanks. Frank

A: No, to use the Kolari Vision Infrared Lens Filter (52mm, 590nm) the camera sensor in the D5500 needs to be modified. It will not work correctly with that.

Q: 5. hello! could this fit and work on the G Master 70 200mm? Thanks!

Q: 6. Has anyone taken (very) long exposures with these or any other brand ND filters? Nikon HB-97 hood has slits at the back. Imagine there be light leakage?

A: There have been some reports of light leaking when using ND filters with the HB-97 lens hood. The NiSi lens hood was designed specifically for long exposures to prevent light leakage. Item #NIPHOODNZ14 https://bhpho.to/3zWolwU

Q: 7. Will this work with a Samsung Galaxy S23+?

Q: 10. is this filter appropriate for film cameras, or more importantly, will it work on a lens attached to a film camera?what's the advantage of the lens being non-coated?

A: Yes that filter is fine for film or digital cameras.Lenses and filters with coatings are in general much better. Lens and filter coatings help limit flair and will than make the image look better and give it a good contrast. So it is a benefit to have lenses coated.

I spent 2 days in the narrows with this filter permanatnly attached to my lens, it worked great and did everything a polarizer should do.

Cuts out a few stops in overcast daylight. Not quite enough for shooting video on a f/1.4 lens in sunlight unless you're losing light already. May be best to double up on these, as the 3.0 ND can be overkill.

The multi-coated B+W filters rock. I started using them this year. Have 0.3, 0.6 and this 0.9. I noticed I was starting to get some glare and reflection on a cheaper brand ND filter I was using. A used lens I purchased had a B+W filter on it and I noticed the great quality so went from there. I will probably stay with this brand.
