The Single-Rod Connector with Extension from Cavision allows you to connect a 15mm rod to a 19mm rod at any angle. Each rod holder can individually be swiveled 360° and tightened down in the desired position. The Rod Connector features a 2.4” extension between each rod holder.

A: Michael, this is an odd situation, The thread pitch is not a standard US or metric pitch. We do not have the exact size so you would need to inquire with Tilta. The connector SKU # is R15-C They have a support portal on their website.

A: It is our understanding that yes, at the basic screw level, all 15mm LWS gear is interchangeable.

As far as I can tell, the folks at SmallRig can do no wrong (at least for me). I must have more than 30 of their various cage and shooting gear solutions and they have NEVER let me down. These simple 15mm rod clamps are no exception. I wanted to mount my focus motor from above on my FS7 and TA DAH. Easy peasy. Again. 5

I use this on my Canon HF G10 video camera. It has proven itself to be very usable to stabilize video shoots with it. The size lends itself to be very controllable without the use of counter weights of other systems. Certainly the counter weight systems are useful in many if not all situations however if those systems are too cumbersome or restrictive then this is one to use. The Canon HF G10 uses a flash drive so it is not a heavy camera making it easy for this grip to handle. The single hand-grip is made of sturdy molded plastic and the attachment and pivot points are well made with a mix of chrome plated high tensile steel and high carbon steel where they count. This type of hand grip is very hard to come by as a lot of available hand grips are either part of a counter weight system or mounting system for lights, microphones, etc. In summary this is a well made, high quality single purpose accessory that deserves support from the motion and still photography community. It is easy to use and its cost is very reasonable in considering its quality. I am a firm believer in the saying that you pay for what you get. The only thing wrong about this item is that it is not always available for immediate purchase. A possible testament to its popularity? Perhaps. 5

The handgrip and plate work very well in helping to stabilize footage using both my Canon 7d and Canon Hv30. Using this with the Cavision viewfinder I have a excellent alternative to high priced competing products. 5
