This Double Rod Holder 15mm to 15mm from Cavision enables you to attach a 15mm rod to a 15mm rod and lock their position using the Cavision compatible rosette. You can swap out one of the rod holders for another optional sized holder available in 15, 16, 18, or 19mm.

A: According to Cavision this matte box set should have no problem covering the extra height created by the HLVKIT on the D810. It has approximately 2.4cm of height adjustment. The minimum distance from rods center to matte box (ie lens) center is 10.2mm and the maximum is 12.6mm. Also of note: the plate portion at the back of the rods system will elevate the camera approximately 4.2cm above the rods center.

Q: 3. Is the male screw threaded 1/4-20 or M6?

A: According to Cavision the thread is M6.

Q: 4. can i use this coonectors for other brands as well, like wooden camera rods which have m12 thread or other brands as well?

A: Yes, as long as the rod has an M12 thread, you will be able to use the Smallrig 15mm Rod Connector.

Q: 5. Can this piece be used to connect it to my steadicam? If not, what piece do I need?

A: Not familiar with Steadicam. I used this piece to find a simple, low-cost way to get rods beneath a DSLR on a tripod, so I could attach accessories. It worked perfectly for that.

A: I use mine to connect to a counterweight for balance on a camera rig -- around five pounds. The clamp seems fairly sturdy and could probably handle even more weight (within reason).

A: The Tilta 15mm Single Rod Holder for Camera Cage Side (Tilta Gray) screw size is 1/4-20. We are not aware that any other parts of this adapter can be removed.

A: Yes it should. This has a ½”-13 thread which is the same kind Zacuto uses.
