This 39mm ND Lens Filter Plus+ from Urth provides a fixed 4-stop light reduction for better control with long exposure and depth of field techniques in low light. With less light entering your camera, you can also use wider apertures in low light for a beautiful shallower depth of field effect without overexposing images. Cinematographers can use the ND16 Filter Plus+ to create more cinematic effects in low light without losing quality or overexposing the shot. The Plus+ range features 20-layers of nano-coating providing easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil, and scratches. These layers also provide a higher maximum light transmission and a more consistent transmission curve for truer light reduction.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the Filter factor?

A: The B+W High-Transmission MRC-Nano Master Circular Polarizer has a filter factor of 1-1.5 stops.

Q: 2. Can this variable B+W ND be stacked with a B+W ND 10-Stop filter in order to achieve a 13-15 Stop result?

A: Yes, but shooting thru several pieces of glass will reduce image quality.

Q: 3. Does this fit Leica E39 lens?

A: Yes this will fit on a Leica E39 Lens.

Q: 4. Does this fit a Leica E39 lens?

A: Yes this fits Leica E39 Lenses.

Q: 5. Has anyone used this filter with the DJI X5 camera? If so, how is the color fidelity? Is there any specific color cast? Thank you.

A: B+W make very high quality filters. This will give you a great performance when used on lens with the X5.

Q: 6. What is the difference between this and a Kaesemann polarizer? B&H doesn't sell Kaesemann in 62mm, but this costs the same.

A: The Kaesemann series filters are currently being phased out. We have no 62mm size left and soon other sizes will be gone too. The Master series has the same optical quality at the prior Kaesemann series but they added a better grip due to optimized filter ring knurling and it is grease-free for easy rotation.

Q: 7. Will this Filter thread onto a regular 82mm-122mm step-up ring? Eg. BH #HYELA82112 • MFR #ELA82-112.

A: The NiSi ND8 112mm NC Neutral Density Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens (3-Stop) will thread onto the H&Y Filters Evo-Series 82-112mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring without any problems!

Q: 8. Can you stack this filter with a CPL?

A: There are no front filter threads for attaching a filter to the front of the NiSi ND64 112mm NC Neutral Density Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens (6-Stop) (B&H# NICCN64NZ). As such, you would have to add this on top of the CPL or other filter to use them together.

Q: 9. Does anyone know if you can stack two or more of these filters on the Nikkor 14-24 mm f/2.8?

A: The front of this filter is unthreaded so you cannot stack it unfortunately.

Q: 10. Has anyone tried the Variable 82mm on a sony 16-35GM2.8? I want to know if you saw any vignetting or any issues with it. I know the 24-70gm also has the same filter thread so I was wondering just how wide you can go with the filter beefore vignetting.

A: Today's Polarizers from quality manufacturers are all made to be thin to avoid vignetting on wide lenses. This one from B+W has the coveted Thin Brass Filter Ring. You will be good.
