Designed for traditional black and white printing, Lupex Contact Paper from Adox is a slow-speed contact fiber paper made with a silver chloride emulsion. Designed to replace Kodak Azo or Fomalux, the speed of this paper is approximately 8 stops lower than Adox MCC. This Lupex Contact Paper provides an extremely fine grain and yields superior resolution while working with large format negatives. Additionally, when working with a strong light source and without an enlarger, you can place your large-format film directly onto the paper while burning and dodging your print.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how long for per roll?

A: I've not bought any rolls; only sheets. This item appears to be 66' though.

Q: 2. Is this paper compatible with Epson Pro 3880?

A: Yes, this paper will work with the 3880.

Q: 3. I have old and recent b&w slides; anyone have experience printing with an enlarger on this paper? Pre-flash? General exposure length? Preferred developer? Thanks in advance!

A: As always, our wonderful customers are a great resource. Please look to the product reviews for the answers to your questions. Used with care, this paper produces great results.

Q: 4. After pre-flashing, can I use it a few hours or days later? Or should it be used immediately?

A: There is no set time listed for storing pre flashed HARMAN technology Direct Positive Fiber Based (FB) Paper (Glossy, 4 x 5", 25 Sheets). As with all photographic materials, they do degrade over time - so the shorter the time frame, the better. Be sure to store all papers in a cool and dry environment.

Q: 5. If loading in darkness, is there a notch like regular 4x5 for loading. If not, is there a way to tell?

A: There are no notches. This paper can be loaded with darkroom safely light or in complete darkness the glossy side up.

Q: 6. Can I use Ilford WASHAID to shorten the rinse time from 1 hour? I'm using Ilford DEV, STP, & FIX.. in trays

A: Yes, Wash Aid will help reduce wash time with the Harman Direct Positive paper.

Q: 7. I am not sure I understand the unit : 66' . Is it 66 feet or inch ? Thanks

A: This is a roll of paper that is 24 inches wide by 66 feet long.

Q: 8. Can you leave this paper after exposing in the fridge for a period of time before developing? Not near a darkroom

A: You can hold off processing the HARMAN technology Direct Positive Fiber Based (FB) Paper (Glossy, 4 x 5", 25 Sheets). But do not do that for long times. It is best to process right away but you can wait a few days or so.

Q: 9. Can I use this paper for pinhole cameras without preflashing it ? How would be the results if not preflashed ?

A: Yes you can use this paper without a pre-flash with a pinhole camera, but it will be more contrasty due to the long exposure and relative slow ISO (I think around 7). You'll get more tonality with a pre-flash. One thing about this paper is YOU CANNOT handle it under amber safelight.

Q: 10. What is the ISO rating of this paper?

A: I have been going back and forth between ISO 3 and ISO 6 depending on lighting conditions. Both have given me acceptable results.

Very similar to paper I used consistently 10 years ago, if not the exact same except for the name. Professional grade and high quality. Rich blacks and bright whites. Not overly glossy, but enough sheen. I would only use Ilford black and white darkroom paper.

Ive always loved fiber paper and Its definitely worth it to buy from B&H. Much cheaper than other sellers and still the same quality as other producers like Hunts.
