Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I recently bought this and the film is struggling to go around properly without tearing and the lever doesn't turn as using the camera. Please help?

A: Hey, I was there before. I don't think we need to attach the film much on the lever. I would say just a little bit. You might feel it's gonna loose at any minute. Give it a shot. Good luck!

Q: 2. Does is come with any film?

A: The kit does not include any film. Film is sold separately.

Q: 3. Does it come with film?

A: No, film is not included with the Lomography Diana F+ Medium Format Camera (Teal/Black). Film would have to be purchased separately. You may view the options available under the Accessories tab on the webpage for the camera.

Q: 4. Can you develop this film in a dark room?

A: This camera uses standard 35mm film. You can use any standard color or black and white film and develop it in an appropriate dark room.

Q: 5. If the camera can only shoot 144 frames per roll, does that mean for each 6 seconds (standard 24fps) video, we have to switch a new roll?

A: The film is actually around 4-6 fps max. It's hand cranked so there's no way you get 24fps. A film roll actually gives about 30 seconds of film. Think of it more like an old silent movie type rate. I got an 8 scecond sequence from 22 frames as an example.

Q: 6. Can you take of the flash?

A: Yes, the flash is removeable.

Q: 7. I bought the Lomographic sprocket rocket (hp400) and would like to know if anyone knows how long the developed photo is. I've had a panoramic camera in the past and the developed photo was 12 long. 2. I also have a Nikon N90s which uses 4AA batteries, along with 4 AA's in the flash. Any strong recommendations on type of battery? I'm finding Duracell are weaker and energizer last longer. So, any suggestions?

A: In regard to the Sprocket Rocket: The size of the print just depends on what you request. The image on the negative is about twice the length of a standard 35mm frame. I've printed images from the Sprocket Rocket on 8x10 paper. You can really print them at almost any size.

Q: 8. Focal length or angle of view known for pinhole mode?

A: Lomography Diana F+ Film Camera and Flash pinhole focal length is not stated in the specs. Looking at photos online it is a narrow focal length similar to 75mm when using the regular lens. I was able to find that the aperture is F/128 in pinhole mode.

Q: 9. Can this be used with 120mm color transparency film (such as Kodak Ektachrome or FUJI Provia 100F)?

A: You can use any 120 film with the Lomography Diana F+ Film Camera and Flash (Teal/Black).

Q: 10. does it produce sound?

A: The camera is crank 35mm moving film camera. It does not record sound. If you are referring to the sound the camera might make while recording, it is very minimal.
