A: The xlr inputs on the tascam dr70d are mono inputs. the only stereo input is the 1/8in jack.

Q: 3. Hello, I want to record speeches in a wedding. My setting is a back up audio. I want to connect my Rode wireless go II recorder to the dj console while guest speech using the Dj microphone. Will this adapter work for my needs.

Q: 4. Will this allow me to use the microphone on an external headset to record with a Tascam DR-40 or Zoom H6?

A: It seems like you are referencing the 3.5mm TRRS connection headset that would usually connect to a smartphone. If that is what you are referencing, then no that will not work with this adapter going into a Tascam DR-40 or Zoom H6.

Q: 5. What adapters would be required to use the Rode Video Mic Pro (stereo) with a Tascam DR-40 and not go to mono?

A: Why not just connect 2 XLR ports on the mic to the 2 XLR ports on the recorder using simple XLR-XLR cables? Am I missing something?

Q: 6. Will this work with the Rode SmartLav+?

A: No as the smartlav+ has a TRRS connection. The VXLR is a TRS to XLR adaptor only.

Q: 8. Is this Adapter OK to use with a Rode Video Mic Go Shotgun connecting to a Tascam 70D for phantom power? If it is what should the setting on the Tascam 70D be 24v or 48v?

Q: 9. I have a Rode Wireless Go and I want to plug the transmitter into the soundboard and the receiver will plug into my DSLR. What cable will I need from the VXLR to the transmitter?

A: This adapter would be to take the cable that comes out of the receiver and bring it in to an XLR input, not an output. We are not aware of an option that will allow you to feed a sound board in to the Rode Wireless Go's Transmitter at this time.

Q: 10. If I am wanting to connect a Sennheiser Lavalier 3.5mm directly to my Zoom F3, should I get the VXLR or VXLR+?

A: The Sennheiser lavalier microphone requires a small amount of voltage in order to function, so you will want to use the RODE VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP), which will allow you to use phantom power from the XLR mic input on the Zoom F3 Portable Field Recorder and then convert it to the proper amount of plug-in power that the mic requires. The RODE VXLR 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter (B&H # ROVXLR) will only convert the plug on the microphone from 3.5mm to XLR, but it will not convert phantom power to plug-in power.
