Q: 1. How does the apex/spider differ between the 3 series and the 5 series? I see that the leg diameters increase, but is the mounting plate the same diameter and the distance from leg to leg around the apex the same? Just trying get a sense of how they differ dimensionally at the apex and whether there's additional rigidity and vibration damping benefits in the larger series beyond just increased tube diameters. Thanks!

A: The mounting plate and the distance from leg to leg on both the 5 series and the 3 series are the same, the additional rigidity and vibration damping benefits in the larger series are only due to the increased thickness of the legs as well as larger modular feet.

Q: 2. How is this tripod compared to the LeoFoto LN-364C? Thank you.

A: Both have similar specifications on paper. In terms of differences, the Leofoto LN-364C is just a tad bit lighter in weight and shorter in folded length. The Robus 8860 has a 10-year warranty compared to the Leofoto's 2-year limited. The Robus also comes with more feet accessories than the Leofoto.

Q: 3. Does the included bag have enough room for a ball head?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. Will my Benro G2 gimbal head attach to this tripod?

Q: 5. Is the 75mm bowl compatible with the RRS TA-3 series of leveling bases?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 6. Will this work with the Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 with Panning System ? or is the tripod base too big ?

A: It will work, you will probably have a 1/2" extra around the base. Typically tripods without center columns have similar size discs or flat plates. If you wanted a smaller base for the head, you can look at tripods with center columns.

Q: 7. Does the included bag have enough room for an attached ball head or is just enough for the tripod to fit?

A: The case would have enough space for the legs only.

Q: 8. Will this bag accommodate a Flowtech 75 tripod with a Manfrotto Nitrotech 608 head on it? Or just the tripod without a head?

A: No. please review the following item Sachtler Padded Bag for flowtech 75 or TT Tripod with FSB Fluid Head BH #SA9116PB75 • MFR #9116 https://bhpho.to/3aTH7JW

The Robus RC-5570 Vantage Series 3 carbon fiber tripod is portable in the field, yet provides a secure base for a camera body and long telephoto lens. It has three legs, each with three adjustable segments. Well made and a joy to use.

I am absolutely elated. This is solid. I love the leg extension collars -- quick, easy, and no guessing. I think I could park my car on this tripod. And it is only half the price of some other brand names that brag about and charge too much for their tripods. I don't ever want to use a center column again. I am captivated.

This tripod is a solid value for the money, with loads of features and extras and a price half of some of its competitors. From the included extra feet to the video bowl, the 10X carbon fiber and just the fit and finish, nothing about it disappoints. This is not a lightweight travel tripod, it's rugged and beefy and has some weight to it. I use it with a gimbal head for bird photography and it serves perfectly.

It is exactly what the manufacturer said it was. Great stability and high enough for no stooping down like with the shorter tripods. Excellent height

I had been on the hunt for a good quality tripod for some time which would not have a center column, and still fit my height well.
I am 185cm tall or just about 61 and then even this tripod, fully extended get a tad too high when have my camera on top.
I am using Acratech ballhead.
I just lower the tripod just a bit and just think its nice that I can add some extra height if I feel I need it.
Got this tripod few months ago and it feels very strong and robust.
Very sturdy.
I use it also with my Promediagear Katana jr. gimbal head and have then my Sigma 500mm f/4 lens on and it feels lightweight for this tripod.
Sure he has some weight this tripod but nothing I will complain about. I have hiked all over with this thing and it doesnt bother me at all.
If you want tall and sturdy, then you should be aware it is going to be few grams heavier than smaller tripods.
It comes with beautiful well made bag and you get these extra feet too attach for different terrains you might find yourself in.
I am loving my Robus RC-8860 and do believe we will be a great team for the coming years.

I was very impressed by the Robus RC-5558 carbon fiber tripod. I am 5'8" and have the Really Right Stuff BH-55 Ball Head. It is more than tall enough and fits perfectly in the provided zippered bag.

Never used any of their products before but tickle me impressed. Great build! All around one of my favorite tripods I have used outside of Manfrotto!

I'm really happy with this purchase. I wanted tripod legs without a center column for increased stability. The tradeoff is that the footprint is wider than what I'm used to, so the only downside might be if you're shooting in a tight space. Also I prefer the flip locks but seems like most of the higher end ones have the twist locks. It also comes with a nice bag and 3 different options for feet.

It does the job and does it very well! Great height and confident structure. It's large enough to support big gear steadily; it holds roughly 10lbs for me regularly. Very smooth adjustments to the legs on all aspects as well. Being carbon fiber, its weight is more than manageable when attached to a pack for hiking into remote areas.
