A: The previous ten or so answers were perhaps before a clear leather option was available. There is a button for that option now (which adds to the price, but is probably worth it). The description when choosing the leather cups option reads: '...genuine sheepskin leather earpads for improved comfort in long sessions.'

Q: 3. Do the earpieces rotate 90 degrees so they can be stored flat?

A: No, unfortunately they do not rotate for flat storage.

Q: 4. Is there a MDR-7506 model that comes with an uncoiled cable? I hate all that extra weight on my head.

A: The Sony MDR-7506 Headphones are only available with the attached coiled cable. As an alternative, the Senal SMH-1000-MK2 Professional Field and Studio Monitor Headphones (B&H # SESMH1000MKT) are close in design and have a removeable cable. The SMH-1000-MK2 include both straight and coiled cables, so you have the option of using either style. The Audio-Technica ATH-M40x Closed-Back Monitor Headphones (B&H # AUATHM40X) and Audio-Technica ATH-M30x Closed-Back Monitor Headphones (B&H # AUATHM30X) also have a removeable cable and are both packaged with straight and coiled cables as well.

Q: 5. Can I connect to my Fender Amplifier to privately listen to my guitar rifts? thanks!

A: If your amp has a headphone output, than yes you can.

A: This could indicate a short or issue with the cabling. This is not easily fixable on these headphones. To save time and money on possible repairs, we would recommend purchasing a new pair.

The sound is very neutral. Tight bass with no extra boost. Comfort on the ears and head: Doesn't feel like your head is stuck in a vice. Construction of the headphones seems to be excellent. Folds up into a small space. 5

Since I already have the MDR-V6 , it was natural decision to get these (essentially the same ) - At the same opportunity I spoiled my MDR-V6 with genuine sheepskin pads available at B&H. I don't usually write reviews, but I'm just so happy with these I had to.- great combo of sound quality, stage and comfort ... Just keep an extra sheepskin pads on hand after a 1-2 years of use they need replacement. 5

I've only used them for a week, but so far, they are great. In my work as radio producer, I do a lot of work in the field, and then edit in a studio. thee MDR-7506 Sony headphones are rugged enough to fold up and throw in to my field gear bag, then sound lovely once I get back to the editing studio. Background noise is minimal - and for the cost, they seem well worth it. Highly recommended. Now I know why everyone in the film, radio world seems to own a pair! 5

My father bought this 10 years ago and its incredible how they can resist everything (in comparions with all of the others for the same price). They're durable, comfortable but the best thing is... this headphones SOUNDs SUPERB for the price A+ Recently i bought two pieces from this for two friends, they can't be believe the quality-price relationship (they are using for voice over recording). I tested, im a radio producer with knowledge on music production and im sure that every singer, voiceover or producer needs this mandatorily on his/her studio, no matter if is home or pro. 5

I use headphones at night when I sleep also when I watch TV , so I don't bother my neighbors. At night my are hooked to my Sony receiver and two 5 disc cd player. The fit flat on ears, allows me sleep on my side without discomfort. Great sounds !!!! 5
