I have a small in-home studio and use a C-Stand Turtle base for a background light. Since I had the column that came with the stand doing nothing, this provided me another stand on the cheap. It was much sturdier than I had anticipated. This was one of my more effective purchases.

The guys in the grip/lighting dept. at B&H didn't even know they sold this thing - they were crowded round and drooling on it when I asked to see it and it was brought from the stock room. They all said they were going to buy one as its so well made and such good value. I notice it's now on back order, presumably because they cleared the inventory between them!Anyway, I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I love it but the spars could ideally be about six inches longer to give it better stability. That said, I just take extra care by adopting the following rules. I don't use it with the riser above nine feet. I lower the riser to about six feet before moving the wheels. I don't load it up with anything more than a monolight and a mid-size modifier. I always counter-weight it.I always use a 20 lbs sandbag on it. I always lock all three wheels.Great product, very well constructed, excellent value, I'll buy two more when they're back in stock

I purchased 2 of these wheeled stand bases and they have already proven to be one of the best gear investments that I have made in a long time. As a professional videographer and photographer, I often find myself in one-man-band situations where I am having to set up and move all of my lighting equipment on my own. These wheeled bases make life so much easier and save me a ton of time and backaches! I'm kicking myself because I didn't buy them earlier. I plan to buy at least two more.

For 8 years my AC's have picked up director monitors. Not anymore. WE ROLLIN' BABY.

This is a great addition to any stand. Is strong enough to handle any lights witb very minimal help from sandbags. It's nice to be able to move the light without dragging it across the floor.

So essential when it comes to having c-stands. i used to hold off on purchasing these until i realized a fully built-out cstand with lights is really hard to move... maybe a rolling one would work... well that proved me right.

I use Kupo Handy Stands to hold off-camera flash heads in the field for quick-hit headshots and grip & grin photos. They're plenty strong and stable enough for this. I appreciate their light weight and small footprint when collapsed, especially when I'm trying to travel light. Highly recommended.

If you're like me, you like to change things up mid-shoot. Having a standard lightstand, or a standard C-stand, means you have to cautiously try to lift-and-scoot your lights around into the next configuration... and it sucks. I bought this to help solve that problem, and it did just that. The wheel locks are great, and it is very sturdy without being horribly bulky. I would recommend some weights to prevent tipping but whatever you use for your normal c-stand should work just fine. Overall, great product.
