This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5170 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have always used Epson's in general - I have used a Brother that I like and a Canon I won't mention. This unit is great for such a compact size. Has all of the horsepower and color quality of much larger units I've owned. The scanner and the copying function (along with the printer) are fast. I did try the FAX although I rarley have a need for it. The instructions were easy to follow although adjusting the printer heads was a bit challenging. Print quality is impossible to tell from a laser printer. If you are looking to upgrade in power with a smaller size this is great for the price.

This printer works perfectly and has everything it says in the description. It is easy to operate on a comouter, ipad or cell phone and its size has nothing to do with its quality and the ink tank is easy to fill. The quality of the ink is very good I can't complain about the quality of full color printing. I can not conplain about anything, it has an easy handling in all its functions and i was totally satisfied.

Pro printer is a value upgrade with bigger tanks and better service cycle. Printer operates flawlessly.

I have been using the ET-5170 for a week. The printer was easy to set up but very time consuming. It took almost 45 minutes from out of box to up and running. The ink wells are a breeze to fill. I did encounter difficulty connecting the WiFi. The touch screen is extremely user friendly.

The 5170 is an extremely quiet
printer. It prints fast and produces high quality documents. The auto two-sided printing is a great paper saver. The color photos do take longer and the quality is average. The scanner was equally fast. The quality of the printing is very good, the only details that I see that seem to have a color flaw, is when it is printing light blue color looks very clear, I think it is very fast, in the photos it is taken a little longer than normal, as it should be, I have not tried sublimating yet, but that is what I will try next week, it seems to me that the design as such is very good.
I would like it to have Support for a greater number of pages , but in general it seems to me that it is a very good printer, I think that the price is a little high compared to all those on the market, but I think that it is because it has to do more things that I have not yet been able to discover

I've been using this printer for a few weeks now and it's been pretty great. It prints fast and the prints are very high quality. Setup was a breeze and updates take just a few minutes. It has apps for all devices, iOS, Android, and easily connects to PC. The apps give you easy access to the many features and lets you adjust them quickly or you can use your browser.
I had a blast printing photos from my iPhone and they looked wonderful and printed quickly. Documents came out sharp and quickly. Scans also come out looking sharp and with very accurate color. Copying documents is incredibly fast and the printer has auto 2-sided printing making the task much, much easier. The printer comes with ink and has an extra bottle of black ink. The printer has really been making the ink last and I shouldn't need any in the near future. Overall, I'm very happy with this printer and it will only get better with more and heavier use!

This printer was very easy to set up as a network printer.
The quality of print for both letters and photos is excellent. From previous experience I am printing at least every week so the heads do not dry out or clog.
Controls on the printer are easy to understand and use. Love the increased capacity of ink and paper.

I got this EcoTank Pro ET-5170 for my Home business office. My first impression is wow, It's great All in one printer. Let's start with set up. On the box you have printed instructions how to unbox your printer, Very easy. It was securely taped with blue tape for transport. You need to check everywhere for the tapes and remove them. Warranty card ,set up instruction and software CD is included too. .Filling ink tanks is very easy too. Just remove the bottle cap and insert to filling port until it stop flowing, close the cap and repeat with another color. Next step load paper into loading cassette. Install software ,connect to WI-FI and you are good to go. Whole process is very self explanatory and easy.

I did install Epson Smart Panel App on my Android phone and I can now print photos from my phone.
Quality and speed of the printing is amazing. You can choose gloss or matte photo, plain paper, envelopes etc. It does double sided prints too which is great help. The cartridges should apparently be good for 2 years .but of course it vary how much you will use it. It's great All in One printer .

Upon carrying the box inside, I noticed it was very light compared to the other printers of this stature.  When I opened the box it was neatly packed. It was simple to unpack all the items of the box.

I began to read the very clear instructions and started to set up the printer.  The ink set up was amazingly easy and I love that the bottles do not spill. They even have their own convenient slots for filling.  All I had to do was take the cap off and match up the slots. The bottle dumped into the printer and would automatically stop when it was full. I repeated this step for all 4 colors.

Next it instructed me to plug it in and follow the screen prompts. The prompts were very easy to understand and I really like the touchscreen on this printer.  Then I used the disk that was included for installation.  Again the instructions walked me right through the process. 

I did notice that a usb cord was not provided, for those that may need one. Although that was not an issue in my case. All together it took me about 20 minutes to set up the printer. 

It is very compact compared to all the functions it can preform.  The printer is very high functioning and prints at a great speed. I can tell it is made from quality materials and will last a long time. 

The user interface is simple to figure out and it prints wonderful colored pictures.  It is definitely needed for a business that is growing everyday. I am beyond pleased with this printer!
