This Zoom Q2 does an excellent job of capturing the video with a wide lens and amazingly good-quality sound.

I've used the 1080p version of this camera since it was introduced. It continues to be reliable, but I wanted to upgrade to 4K. The sound quality is still amazing, and the clarity of the video justifies my purchase.
I am very pleased with this unit.

Ok where do I start, oh I know...heres what comes in the box:

-Zoom Q2N4K
-Guide/Warranty Info
-Lens Cap and Lens Hood
-1 pair of AA batteries

Whats left? Well for starters youre going to need a micro sd card, I recommend visiting Zooms site and viewing their list of tested compatible cards. I went with the Delkin 64gb - V30 - UHS - I card (DDMSDW66064G). Suits my needs for now as Im just getting started.

Cables. The one youll probably need the most is the micro USB to USB cable, chances are you might already have an extra one especially if youre an Android user. Micro HDMI to HDMI is also useful. Lastly a couple 1/8in audio cables, one for incoming and the other for outgoing audio. The external in is where the Zoom shines as you have the option to record between 44.1k 16bit audio and 48k - 96k 24bit audio, and the audio is clean.

The mics within the unit also sound great, did a test run in the car with the stereo on low volume playing music with heavy 808 bass, not only was my voice clear but the background music was well pronounced including the bass which still had a nice round sound even at low volume.

Videos. Well this is the part where I’m still learning. So far, I’ve been recording using 720p the most to maximize space of my card. Study the settings and make sure your subject is properly lit to those settings, and you’ll be fine. For those looking for the best quality video in 1080p and 4k buy the fastest recommended UHS - II card.

Bottom line. This is a great unit, which would probably cost a lot more if it had things like wifi and bluetooth. Not a deal breaker for me, don’t really need it as I’m generally shooting then connecting to edit, upload, airdrop, etc. Also this thing eats batteries but it can also be USB powered. I use rechargeable batteries for short shoots and my USB charger for longer shoots.

5 stars all the way. Took my Instagram and YouTube beat videos to the next level sound wise.

The quality of sound is the real feature. This is easy to use and the results are of a standard way better than a phone recording. I would recommend this cam for musicians and performers who are trying to record themselves or stream live.

This is like a perfect audio visual point & shoot microphone video camera that will get more active use than my more professional cameras -- with simple very good top quality audio.

As soon as I got this amazing, tiny, video camera, I put it to use doing music videos. Indoors, and outdoors, this is one fantastic piece of equipment I wish was around years ago!
It's range from wide angle to telephoto, and EXCEPTIONAL sound reproduction (due to the XY mics), is by far more amazing than you would ever have thought from such a small camera.
You will be astonished, as I was, at the quality of this camera. Did I mention, you won't find a video camera this good for twice the price?

I am very satisfied with this high quality inexpensive video recorder. The sound quality is superior to all my single portable units. Crystal Clear. The 4K video capture is a speciality and once I learn how to use it in the right settings, I will use it often. I am thrilled that you can connect this unit to a power source and not use the battery source.
If you need something that will get the job done quickly and upload to the social media circuit. BUY THIS RECORDER !!! GET THE POWER CABLES THAT WORK WITH IT.

This video recorder has superior sound and video. What else needs to be said? Because of the unusual shape, it's a little awkward to hold. However, you can purchase a handle that screws into the bottom, I think. The only downside I've found, other than the shape, is that the batteries don't seem to last too long, but you can buy an auxiliary battery pack. I wish the unit had remote control, but it doesn't.
