A wide variety of mounting options lets you affix this cage to an optional tripod or monopod, or to attach optional external LED lights, an external microphone, and more to the smartphone cage itself. The top of the cage sports 3 cold shoe slots with two 1/4" screw holes on either side of the center cold shoe. On each side there are two 3/8" and three 1/4" screw holes, for a grand total of 15 different mounting options.

Your smartphone attaches to the center of the cage via an adjustable clamp. It can accommodate phones from 1.8 to 3.4" wide via a built-in thumb wheel that allows for precise adjustments. Integrated silicone pads on the clamp help to protect your phone from incidental damage.

I was very surprised by this gimbal. It's very east to set up and use. You can use it with your favorite app to execute the shutter but that's about it. If you use the apps that it's compatible with, like Filmic Pro or Stacam, it opens up a new world for control and production. For the price I expected a cheap feeling product but it's anything but. By the look and feel, it's a high quality product. The motors are strong and very smooth. You have a variety of functions that allow full control of your production. The pan/tilt functions are smooth, you have the ability to focus and zoom with a side rotating wheel at your fingertips. The built in and magnetic fill light are very impressive. I highly recommend this gimbal to anyone that is using a smartphone and is testing the waters of videography or intro film production. Once you get familiar with it, you will not be disappointed. 5
