A: No it does not. the delay from the camera to the Newtek Spark is almost non existent when compared to the delay that happens when converting a video signal to be sent across a network and the bandwidth limitations of said network. If you purchased both the SDI and HDMI versions and hooked them up to a cameras on the same network you should experience the same delay.

A: The Vizrt Spark Plus I/O 12G-SDI Converter is an encoder; therefore, the video will get compressed to 8-bit H.264/H.265 when sent across the network. You can send in a 10-bit HDR image if you like; just be aware that the NDI encoding process will compress the image to 8-bit.
