A: While I have not personally used the Pancro Professional Lens Cleaner, the lens cleaning solution was rated the best lens cleaning solution at the Camera Assistant Olympics. I personally use and recommend Residual Oil Remover (ROR), but I do plan to try the Pancro Professional Lens Cleaner and I expect both to be very competent in cleaning multi-coated optical glass with little to no residue.

A: It is isopropanol 67-63-0 per MSDS info that the company publishes. I also have a 32 ounce bottle of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol (67-63-0) technical grade cleaner that I bought for $8. Pancro is isopropyl alcohol. Both clean my lenses. But marketing as a professional lens cleaner makes it 20 times the cost.
