The Vello Bounce Dome Diffuser for Sony HVL-F58AM & Panasonic DMW-FL580L Flashes softens the light output of a flash, reducing harsh shadows that are often the result when using direct illumination. The dome provides even coverage across the entire frame and is ideal for use with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in 35mm format as well as their equivalent in other formats. Since each Bounce Dome is custom made for the flash, it slips on and off without the need for touch fastener tabs.

A: You do not need to bounce every time, and if you are in a place with high ceilings you probably don't want to bounce it. If you are shooting in TTL mode you will not need to compensate the flash because the camera and flash will calculate and adjust to the proper output.

This is the second one I have purchased of these, really helps tone down the light from a flash. Love it! First one was lost... I'm sure now that I bought this one it will show up. This one is a little tighter then the first so I think if I leave it on the flash for a few days it will be perfect. 5

Having tried every 420EX Speedlite diffuser on the market I have FINALLY found the best. I shot a wedding on Sunday and the results were amazing. If you are looking for a good used diffuser check my trash bin as that is where all my others are. If you want the best spend $ and buy the Pearstone. HIGHLY recommended! 5

This diffuser fits snugly on the 420EX flash and greatly improves the quality of flash photography. The one draw back is that it fits so snugly that it takes several minutes to get it on the flash. 5

Without a form of diffuser, the light from off-camera flashes are just too harsh in almost all settings. I usually will bounce the light from white ceilings or walls if I can. When I can't, I use a dome diffuser. I don't ever have my flash without one unless I'm shooting through a softbox or into an umbrella. This is a must-have product. This unit fits securely onto the front of my Bolt VX-710 and produces excellent, soft light. 5
