Q: 1. Looking at purchasing the DJI Ronin M compact stabilizer. I want an easy rig to use with it to save my back. I am using Canon camera's on the stabilizer. Which easy rig would work best and not break the bank?

A: I have used the Easy Rig, found it to be a good design and feel it would be well suited for the Ronin M flying Canon cameras/lenses.In time, I would imagine you will wish to also consider the Flowcine line of products to make the camera super smooth and yet not break your back or exhaust your arms.http://bhpho.to/1LCBcsvIn action:https://a href= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmVUOdtks2w target= _blank www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmVUOdtks2w/a

Q: 2. I have a panasonic cx 350, would this camera work with this rig?

A: Yes, the top handle of the Panasonic CX350 has mounting points that will allow you to attach either the 1/4 20 stud from the Easyrig 400N Standard Cinema 3 quick release. However we suggest looking at the Easyrig MiniMax for your camcorder the weight support is more inline to the weight of the CX350 when using the Easyrig MiniMax. Q: 3. The easyrig requires two. Does this come with two or just one?

A: Hi Jonathan, Thank you for your email. An official Easyrig only requires one Shock Absorber for operation, therefore this item only has one (1) included. If you own an Easyrig that requires more than one shock absorber, I would make sure that it is not an off-brand duplicate. If you have any additional questions, please contact 16x9 Inc. at (661)295-3313 or info@16x9inc.com.

Q: 4. this mentions only working with the "standard arm". Does that mean if you have a 9" gimbal arm, these are incompatible?

A: No, they would be compatible.

Q: 5. Hi. I am considering this with the Flowcine Gravity One. Do I need to order the Cinema 3 or the Gimbal Rig to work with that? I assume the Cinema 3? Camera is a Varicam35. Thanks for a quick reply.

A: Sounds like the Cinema 3 will do the trick. I cant remember the weight range of Cinema 3 but be sure that your total built camera is in the weight range or you will not be happy with the performance of the EasyRig. I went with the Vario because I expect to run different size and weight cameras on my Gimbal rig. Good luck!

Q: 6. Hi, I'm a Movi-Pro operator and looking for a rig to use it with, and separately for just the camera sometimes too. My question is, which is better, 5" arm extension or 9" arm extension? I've used an EasyRig 2, I believe, with no arm extention and it was a waste of time and energy having to hold it far out front.

A: 5 inches and 9 inches are not that far apart and depending on your setup, physical size and arm reach there is some overlap where either option may work for you. So to help you decide I'd look at the options like this: If you felt that the Easyrig with the standard arm was "too close" but "usable" then the 5" model will probably work for you If you felt that the standard arm was "way too close" and "completely unusable" then the 9" model is probably best.

Q: 7. I'm wanting to get an easy rig along with serene and ronin 3 axis gimbal. This seems to be the ideal vest. The work I will be doing with it will range from television/feature film work where an Alexa or similar would be on board but also there would be some doc work where perhaps I am using something like a C300 or Sony FS7. My question is whether the 9 extended arm is suited for all these cameras? Also if you wanted to use the easy rig without the ronin, can this same vest be used in a more classic easy rig hand held camera configuration? Just trying to balance one system for these two worlds

A: I can't speak to all the cameras but I shoot RED and Sony often with this. Its actually more useful as a hand held than with the ronin for me personally. While its very useful with the Ronin, a great deal of shots are limited by its range. I find myself shooting closer to the ground than the easy rig allows comfortably.

Q: 8. Are vests interchangeable? We have male and female operators at our company with vastly different waist sizes

A: The vest that comes with the Easyrig Vario 5 Standard Cinema Flex Vest with 5" Extended Top Bar is not interchangeable.

Q: 9. Are you able to adjust the extended arm? I'm 5'7 and with the Minimax, I find myself to short for taller talent. But how comfortable is the extended arm in most cases?

A: The extended arm has a 4 inch / 20mm adjustment. The manual on the product page contains detaled instructions on all adjustmens. Click on the overview and read the manual on right side of the page.

Q: 10. going to order one of these, was wondering which size arm to get- is it more based on the body of the cameraman/ type of camera rig/ or type of movement?

A: Arm selection is mostly based on type of camera. No extension=ENG handlheld camera over your shoulder. 5 Extension=for handheld cameras like RED or caged DSLR. 9 extension is for very large cameras. You also have to select the weight so that the string matches the load as well. Having used the Easyrig I can say it is a useful tool. In certain situations, it is the only one to use.

I used to hardly use my Easyrig Minimax because I couldn't get smooth motion walking with it attached to my RS3 Pro and Tilta Ring. This definitely is a game changer and will be using it way more often, makes it very smooth and I get to save my back.

I’ve wanted one of theee for so long and finally pulled the trigger. Now I’m mad at myself for waiting so long. As someone who’s often on long shoot days operating handheld, this system is a lifesaver. 10/10, would buy again.

Absolutely LOVE this thing. Takes some getting used to, but man. Once I got used to it and got it setup correctly, I noticed that I was able to focus on filming and worry less about arm and shoulder strain/pain. Being able to just work and get the shots needed is a huge benefit. I totally recommend any serious vidoegrapher/filmmaker investing in an Easyrig! Just make sure you know the weight ratings.

Hands down one of the best gear purchases I've ever made. I've had this vest for about 3 years now and it has saved my back so many times it's not even funny. I literally don't even know how I was filming without it before. I've used this with so many different setups before (including a fully blown BMPCC6K pro rig) but these days I keep it pretty simple - I have my DJI Ronin RS3 + Sony FX3 + V mount battery rig and it's absolutely a dream. I can literally film with one hand in my pocket and the other one on the gimbal. I don't think I would ever buy a vest from any other brand than Easyrig. These guys are the real deal.
