The 77" 2-in-1 Aluminum Tripod/Monopod from Neewer is a lightweight and versatile tripod that converts into a full-featured monopod. It has a robust 17.6 lb load capacity but weighs only 3.5 lb, and it folds to and easily stored or carried 19" length due to its reverse-folding legs. The legs spread independently and have three locking angles, making it easy to level the tripod when working on uneven terrain. The two-section center column is removable and can be inverted for low-level and macro shooting and incorporates a ballast hook for added stability. The center column and one leg can be combined to form a 70" tall monopod for use when a full tripod is too bulky or slow to use, like when shooting sports or wildlife.

Although I'm keeping my trustworthy but clunky, 40-year-old Velbon AEF-3 for use in the studio, I finally replaced it with this Magnus tripod. It's exactly what I was hoping for - light, functional, versatile. I can take it everywhere...well, almost. 5

The tripod now performs as expected. Gradus claims that, after I returned, it performed perfectly when they tested it and they made no repairs. According to Gradus my negative experience is inexplicable based on their testing. The only explanation from their point of view is that I must have not tightened something. I don't think so. I like the tripod and I want it - as advertised. I have re-received it and used it and now it performs as advertised. All is good. 5

Came on a Friday with barely 30 minutes to spend in the store since they closed early. I was looking for a tripod and had enough time to look at a handful and lucked out. This was affordable and high quality. It's also versatile because one of the legs comes off and becomes a monopod. It's quite compact and fit inside my backpack to be able to walk around NYC. Great tripod, perfect size for a minimalist setup, but still have a lot of length/reach. It goes up very high. 5

I am loving this tripod. It packs up very small and is super light, but still feels sturdy. The ball head is smooth, well built and I like that it is Arca-type. This makes things very easy to adapt and use. I'm super impressed with the flexibility it provides. Can go very high with the legs and center column extended. I mean surprisingly high for a tripod that collapses into such a small package for storage. It also comes with an additional shorter center column to go right virtually on the ground with the camera. It can also be configured in an underslung mode which is very cool. But that's not all, it can also be configured as a monopod! I love this feature. Just unscrew one of the legs, pull out the center column and screw them together. Super easy to do. Having this ability is awesome. The flip-lock joints on the leg sections work well and feel very secure. Another fantastic feature I really like is getting an included storage bag. This is a nice little touch that I appreciate. I love having my tripod and head in a bag to keep it safe. This prevents a bunch of wear and tear especially when traveling or on location. And it's awesome how small this tripod packs up. That's very convenient. Overall this is a fantastic tripod that offers a lot of flexibility for a fantastic price. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5
