I am using it as a monitor for my current gen Mac Mini. It's bright, light, and has pretty darn good color. It was plug-and-play out of the box with my mini. I sit with my feet up with the monitor, keyboard, and track pad in my lap (on a small board) and I edit my photos. My mini is faster than my laptop by quite a bit. The only drawback is, I'm so comfortable I fall asleep easily, lol.

This is great when travelling. It truly is plug and play. I didn't have to load any software for it to work with my Lenova thinkpad.

This is the third portable monitor I have bought for a MacBook Pro M1. The first was a Wimaxit 13.3Inch 1920x1080P IPS which I will describe only as you get what you pay for--and I wanted more than what I got. The second was an HP E14 G4 which requires drivers and HP has none for MACs. This is the third. I wanted the monitor so, when I travel, I could have it set up with Photo Mechanic while I run Photoshop on the Mac screen. It is perfect. I was concerned it might not be bright enough but that is definitely not a problem. It fires up when connected to the Mac, is thin and light, and meets my needs 100%. Highly recommended.

I needed a compact, simple, high-quality, secondary display to sit beside my main monitor. I very much wanted a portable monitor, but not to actually carry around with me, just not an ordinary display with the clutter of power cord/stand/etc. It will mostly be sitting in one place, but the nature of my work involves frequent changes to all the hardware connected to my system, so a degree of portability is great.

What I also didn't really want was the usual origami case/cover/stand that comes with most portable monitors. I think they're great, but just not right for this particular usage. Before the Lenovo I tried an Asus Zenscreen, which was pretty awesome, but had a battery (great for true portable use!) but wouldn't power-up if the battery needed charging, which is a hassle I don't need. The Asus also had an HDMI input, which the Lenovo lacks, and also built-in speakers (if I recall correctly). Again, for true portable use, the speakers are almost a must-have, so for some people the Lenovo won't fit the bill.
The lack of HDMI support is a little disappointing, for sure, but even though I would have made use of it, it also wasn't a deal breaker (for me).
So, yes, if all you need is the display, and your computer/device supports video over USB-C, this is a great option.
Minor gripe is the straight plug and length of the supplied USB-C cable. A right-angled plug and another foot or so of length would have been much better. I had to buy a separate cable, and (as I discovered the hard way!) not many USB-C cables support the alt mode of Displayport-over-USB, and the correct cable wasn't cheap!
For me, in this particular scenario, this Lenovo is pretty much perfect. For some people it may be a little too basic, so for those people I'd say try the Asus.

I've got a lenovo thinkpad and this is the perfect accessory. Same size screen, same resolution and the pass-through power means i still have a free USB-C for my dock / ethernet / etc. Both fit in the laptop sleeve in my backpack and the monitor sleeve doubles as a mousepad you can use on any surface.

Got this when I was traveling to add more screen for my set up in hotels and on location at sites. Super compact and lightweight and works great!
