This Embossing Mat from Silhouette for Curio cutting machines that have a 8.5 x 6" cutting area, and it holds materials in place while creating embossed effects with fine or wide embossing tools. The embossing mat uses a special vacu-seal adhesion technology to hold materials in place. This mat replaces is the regular cutting mat included with the Curio machine and is intended for use with the Curio's standard 6" base.

A: Hello. Yes you can accomplish a border smaller than 3/4" using the mat guide on a Logan board mounted mat cutter. The easiest way is to cut the exact opening you need on a larger mat blank with borders wider than 3/4". Like for instance create your mat with 1 1/2" borders instead. Then after the mat is done, go back with your straight cutter and reduce each of the 4 sides by 3/4" and what will remain is the mat opening you needed with 3/4" borders. I hope that helps. Thanks.

A: As mentioned by Dov, you can indeed use 12" mats with the Silhouette Cameo 4 Plus Desktop Cutting Machine (15") (B&H# SICAM415CM). Indeed, as long as the mat you use matches or exceeds the size of the media you'll be cutting then the pinch rollers will smoothly accept it. The maximum size mat is 14.6 x 15", but you can also cut many materials without a mat as long as they are held taught and securely by the machine for cutting purposes.
