Q: 1. I always ran out of the ribbon before the photopaper, I feel it's sich a waste. Do I have to always change the whole set( Ribbon and paper) or is it possible to just put a new ribbon in and keep using the rest of the paper till it rans out?

A: You want to change both at once. It's designed for that. At the end of the roll, you have a couple of feet more. The print packs are always sold with both paper and ribbon, so you really wouldn't gain anything except a big headache. I suspect that the extra footage is for when you have the 8x10 print pack. The ribbon has to be different to accommodate 8x12, but they can just use the same paper roll for both. It also wastes paper when you first insert a roll by slicing off pieces while it registers the position of the paper.

Q: 2. Does this system also do digital photos vs printing them if a client requests?

A: The DNP IDW520 allows a user to preview pictures in addition to printing them, which is optional.

Q: 3. Does it produce archival quality prints?

A: Dye sub printers prints and media don't come under the standard of fine art archival. But they will last for several years 10-100 depending how they are stored.

A: Probably doesn't come with paper. 4x6 is the standard media.

Q: 5. How long will the paper last if you only use 50 pictures out of it at one event and have to wait to use it for another?

A: Typically paper like this has a pretty good shelf life. If you left it for up to a year we would recommend using fresh stock, but it should still be good for all applications if its left unused less than 1 year.

Q: 7. I have this connected to my dnp 620a printer and it won't work. Also the wifi card does not transmit,it's quicker to plug the card into the console. Do you have any ideas on how to get this to print? Thanks

A: The DNP IDW520 7" Touchscreen Wireless Console Processor Kit is a replacement part for the DNP IDW520 Passport and ID Photo Solution Set. It is only for that printer. This will not work with the DNP DS620A Professional Photo Printer. Sorry about that.

Q: 8. If a client does not want the physical printed picture is there and option for it to be sent digitally to the client?

A: The DNP IDW520 Passport and ID Photo Solution cannot be used to send files directly, however the resulting files can be exported to a computer and sent along in any digital way from there.

Q: 9. how much 4x6 would this paper produce ?

A: A 6x8 print pack is not designed to print 2 4x6. It will print only 1 4x6 print. That means you are wasting ink by using to print 4x6. so you will get only 200 prints on one roll of 6x8.

Q: 10. Will this fit a hiti 525L?

A: It's a different manufacturer & might not fit. if you can get it somehow to work by propping you might be OK.
