Equipped with a 2TB 7200 rpm 3.5" hard drive, you have ample room to save your assets while achieving read and write speeds up to 200 MB/s for quick and easy file management. The HDX Pro C has two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one dedicated for host-system connection while the other allows you to daisy chain up to six devices, giving you a massive storage solution suitable for larger projects. An aluminum housing protects internals, allowing you to stack multiple drives on top of each other without affecting performance. A breathable front shield and ball-bearing fan keep your drive cool even under heavy loads for reliable performance. Additionally, front panel LED lights notify you when the HDX Pro C has power and when it is active at a glance. This drive comes pre-formatted as exFAT and is compatible with Windows, mac, and Linux. This enclosure looks like it's from the 1990s. It's heavy, it's metal, it has a fan AND it has a built-in power supply. It has a power cord, but NO BRICK! There is a second USB-C port to daisy chain more devices. I have an 8TB Iron Wolf Pro installed and the Tech Tool Pro software is measuring write speed at 345 MB/s, read speed at 278 MB/s. I have not installed an SSD yet, but you can install a 2.5 SSD or HDD in this box. I am very happy with this enclosure at this point. I may have to get another one if this one starts to get lonely. 5

This hard drive works perfectly, speeds are as advertised, does what it's supposed to! The hard drive housing also allows for daisy chaining to other hard drives with the same housing. I have one more of these so now I can connect the two external HDDs together. A very convenient feature! 5

Very easy to set up, completely quiet. Good quality construction. Installed an 18 GB spinny drive, plugged it in, and got to work. Love that it comes with a cable, has a power switch, and an internal power supply (no wall wart!). May order another one just to have a spare (because products get discontinued, and I like things to match). Haven't tried the external USB-C port, but I would daisy-chain a second unit. Would purchase again. 5

I bought this for use with a 22TB HDD that I'd bought to archive a large engineering project I'd recently completed. So far, so good. It's rugged, and the hard drive's temperatures topped out at 40C. It gets along fine with Linux; I saw no errors reported. Performance is on par with what other reviewers have mentioned. 5

I tried several enclosures and I finally think I found a winner. This thing is solid. Really solid and the fan is so quiet I didn't think it worked at first. However you can definitely feel it. Seriously good bye especially when you can switch HDDs out as your needs change for more storage. 5

Love the build, good fan for keeping the temperature down, and activity indicator light is nice and the power light is a nice bright white to let you know it's on. The fan is audible but it's fair considering that you don't feel any heat from the enclosure. I've already copied 8TB's of data on the first day for 10 hours nonstop. No hitching. The extra usb c port on the back to attach an additional hard drive to it is also a nice touch. Currently using it with a Seagate Ironwolf Pro 18TB and works like a charm. Easy setup. Getting consistent 200 MB/s transfer speeds with Fastcopy. 5
