The magnet is strong and will hold even with a few bumps, eliminating the need for screw-on or pinch-button caps. Just quickly attach the magnetic cap, then safely walk around or put the camera in a camera bag with protected glass. Alternatively, when using a filter with the Magnetic Filter System, the cap can be screwed onto the front of the filter with the provided threading.
