The SCK41TS 4-Input 4K Seamless Scaler Switcher with HDBaseT from Alfatron is a 4K seamless scaler switcher with mirrored HDMI and RJ45 with HDBaseT outputs that handles resolutions up to 4K30 in a 4:4:4 color space. It offers four HDMI inputs, one shared DisplayPort, and a shared USB Type-C port. An external line audio input can be embedded into any HDMI input, and a mic input option with phantom power is provided for audio mixing.

Q: 3. Can I use Chromo key AS WELL AS make that input to become the PiP? Basically I want a PiP window that comes in with Chroma and remove the chroma green background. In the demo video I saw the PiP and Chroma explained on two different inputs. But what I want is BOTH the PiP and Chroma Key effects to be applied on the very same input. Can I do it? Thanks.

A: No, unfortunately you won't be able to do that with our SE-1200MU switcher. You would need a 2 M/E switcher to have two different keys on one layer.

Q: 4. where do you record the video?

A: The Datavideo SE-1200MU has SDI outputs that you can use with recording devices. The Atomos Samurai Blade is a nice option to record directly to a Solid State Drive. You can also look in to an H.264 encoder for both recording and streaming, such as the Datavideo NVS-25.

Q: 7. One of the reviewers said that The HDMI inputs have scalers/framesyncs on them so they will take almost any signal with no issue . Is it right? In official spec's there is such information: As with most HD video switchers, the SE-1200MU will expect all video inputs to beoperating at the same video standard as theswitcher itself .

A: The SE-1200 requires all the cameras to be the same resolution in order to work properly. So if you set SE-1200 to 720p, then the cameras need to be 720p, etc. However, it does have framesync. Side note, the HDMI will scale up to 1080p on the output, but if you use HDSDI, then you it will scale back to 1080i so maybe that is what you mean by scaling.Craig

Q: 8. with this switcher, can we have a logo in our production?

A: Datavideo says - Any Input (1-6) can be used as a Frame store (Stills Store): Up to 24 images stored on SD Card. So yes, you can display your logo on the screen with this switcher.

Q: 9. Is there a lag in the output video after switching among inputs?

A: With switchers like this there will tend to be a delay when switching from input to input. However we are not aware of any lag once the video has been switched.

Q: 10. Is it possible to attach an IR extender? I plan to put this out of sight, but still want remote functionality.

A: Unfortunately we are not aware of an IR extender for this product.
