Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I am really confused, I purchased the Vanguard VEO 3+ 263AB aluminum tripod with VEO BH-169 ball head. Do I also need to buy some sort of plate to hook my Canon camera to it?

A: The Vanguard tripod and ballhead should have come with a quick-release plate (look for this item in the box: https://bhpho.to/3oNXi0u). From my experience, Vanguard packages its plates with its instruction manual.

Q: 2. I just bought this tripod. I am trying to replace the rubber feet with metal spike. I haven't been able to remove rubber feet. Any tips or tricks? It seems like they are glued or something.

A: These feet are removable. They should not be glued or the like. Twist and pull counter-clockwise to get them off.

Q: 3. Someone know how it works the photo-panorama switch in the pan head? a twisted and I really don't see any difference

A: what the position change does, when turned to panorama, causes the head to be always movable (rotatable) (to take panorama shots) regardless of how tight you turn the 2 large knobs.when the position in not in panorama mode, the large knobs can be tightened to effectively 'lock' the head, so it can not be moved at all... This is the only way to actually 'lock' the position of the head from movement on any axis.if you do not notice any difference between the positions, you are likely not tightening one of the large knobs tight enough. note: that there is no panorama friction adjustment in panorama mode, but it is reasonably smooth. If you are looking for a head primarily for video panning shots, you are better off choosing one with longer knobs, as although this is a nice head, it is best suited for general, fixed shots due to the short knobs and their respective positional adjustment range.

Q: 4. Can the pan/tilt head be easily replaced with a Gimbal head, and is it stable when using a gimbal head?

A: The head is removable and has a 1/4-20" mount but I would not recommend using a gimbal with this tripod, it would not be stable enough.

Q: 5. Folded length 30.5"? Does that mean it is a studio tripod and cannot be carried on the backpad??

A: Although the folded length would not allow this tripod to be carried on a backpack easily, it would still be a suitable option for someone working in or out of the studio.

Q: 6. Does it work for my sony a6100 camera??

A: Yes Vanguard Alta Pro 263AP Aluminum-Alloy Tripod Kit with PH-32 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head is compatible with the Sony A6100.

Q: 7. Why doesn't B&H offer bundling discount options like it does for the Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 AT with the MHXPRO 2-way pan-and-tilt head???

A: Unfortunately not all items have bundling discounts, we apologize about that.

Q: 8. Does this come with a carry bag of some kind?

A: Yes. This comes with a Padded Tripod bag with Shoulder Strap.

Q: 9. How long is the swinging arm?

A: It's about 17 inches from that orange ring at the top to the other end

Q: 10. What L type plates will work with the PH32 head?

A: The Alta PH-32 accept L-brackets that are Arca compatible such as the 3 Legged Thing QR11-FBG Universal Full-Size L-Bracket (Metallic Slate Gray), BH # 3LQR11FBG. https://bhpho.to/3LoxaoW
