(2) Once you scan an image (photo, document or film, including transparencies) you will send that image directly to a designated file on your computer. (3) This is a flatbed scanner. Thumb drives and USB connections are used to transfer images directly from your camera (not from flatbed scanners) to your computer, usually to an imaging program such as Lightroom or Photoshop. It is generally advisable to transfer images from the camera to a thumb drive and then upload from the thumb drive to your computer.
